Legazpi City
S.Y. 2009 – 2010
GRADE SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 2
June 29, 2009
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Thank you very much for attending the Parents’ Orientation!
As we move on with our journey this school year, please be informed of the following:
A. Visit of the Asian Youth Cross
The Grades 5 – 6 and the High School students welcomed the Asian Youth Cross on June 25, 2009 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. The main objective of the visit was to inspire the young to renew their faith, love of the Word and the Eucharist.
We are aware of the pressing issues in our society. May it challenge us to become persistent in encouraging and modeling to our children our “faith, love of the Word and the Eucharist.”
B. SAA-sponsors Cathedral Holy Masses
As a Catholic school, we would like to intensify our parish involvement. We will sponsor the 9:30 a.m. Holy Mass every 3rd Sunday of the month at the St. Gregory the Great Parish Cathedral. The Grades 3 and 6 will start in July and the Grades 4 and 5 in August. These grade-level-partners will take turns in the succeeding months.
C. A/H1N1 Talk
The global outbreak of the new influenza, A/H1N1, moved SAA to invite speakers to educate our school community about this pandemic flu. The Grade School sets the following Health Awareness talk schedule:
July 7 – Grades V and VI
July 8 – Grades III and IV
July 9 – Grades II and I
July 14 – Pre-school
D. Request: In connection with the pandemic flu, may I request that if your child manifests illness even a
slight fever, please, let him/her stay home for recuperation. Thank you for your cooperation!
